In a sad story, police in Florida responded to the home of Shamaya Lynn after her toddler killed her while she was on a work-related zoom call.
According to news reports, Lynn, who was 21 at the time of her death, was on the zoom when members in the meeting witnessed her fall backward. And that’s when reports say Lynn’s child was seen in the background. Law enforcement said another adult, which is beleived to be the fahter of the toddler, left the gun in Lynn’s apartment and that the weapon was loaded and did not have the proper safety measures in place.
When officers and paramedics responded to Lynn’s home, they attempted to render aid, but she was already dead from the gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives are working with the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office to determine if any charges will be filed against the owner of the gun. The prosecutor’s office refused to give a statement due to an ongoing investigation.
