According to news reports, Maxwell Williamson accidentally killed his next-door neighbor as he cleaned his gun.  Gwinnett County police said Carlether Foley was in her home in bed when the bullet hit.

Foley was 36 years old and had played in minor film roles at the time of her death.  Police records say Williamson, 22, left a note on Foley’s door saying he was sorry if the bullet had caused damage.  At the time of Foley’s death, it was believed Williamson had no knowledge that she was killed.

It was only when Foley’s 17-year-old son Keyandre returned home and discovered something was wrong with his mother; Keyandre called 911 and told the operator that his mother was unresponsive and that he could see a bullet hole in the wall.

“I’ve never experienced the hurt, the pain that I’m feeling. I don’t know what to do,” Carlether’s mother Jacquline Foley told a local news station. “You had no right to take my baby from me. You had no business taking her life away from her child. He’s 17 years old. This is his last year in school. You have hurt my family. You took my baby.”

Since his mother’s death, Keyandre is residing with Jacquline in Southeast Texas.”   “It don’t feel real. I found my mama by myself,” Keyandre also told the news station. “I just don’t get it. I don’t understand.

As for Williamson, was detained and charged with reckless conduct.
